China team is strong is still strong and we have to accept the fact that no team can beat them yet.. But at least their was an upset in the Uber Cup.. China losing to the Korean team. Congrats to the Korean team for fighting and never say die even though they know it will be hard to beat the China team.. In the end, they won the game.... Do not concede that you are going to lose before even playing with them even though u are playing with the stronger team, but fight for it and try ur best and you might be able to cause an upset against the stronger team. Is has been proven by the Korean team even though they are the underdogs... Congrats again

Congrats to China team for winning the Thomas Cup and Korea team for winning the Uber Cup..

Thomas Cup

So the journey of our malaysian badminton team in the Thomas cup had ended. The semi- finals against China was today and the team lost to China 3-0. Chong Wei lost to Lin Dan 17-21,8-21. Koo Kean Keat/Tan Boon Heong lost to Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng 15-21, 10-21 and Wong Choong Han lost to Chen Jin 21-16, 21-7. So the Thomas Cup Finals this Sunday will be China and Indonesia.. OH WELL... Malaysia lost. We have to accept the fact that China is still way too strong... I guess the turning point was the Japan game.. If they have won, they might not meet China till the finals.. =) anyways, congrats for trying their best even they have lost... =) Hopefully in 2 years time, we are able to give a better fight and win the cup.. hehehe

Didn't really get to watch the full matches especially the first singles and doubles. this time around, coz I finished work late.. However, i did watch the other matches.. But is annoying as even though TV1 show live for the Thomas Cup but they stop for 40 mins for the news even when Malaysia team is playing.. Even during the quarter final against Denmark. Today the Semi-Finals against China, they stop again for 40 mins.. Can't they just continue to show live especially when is a big match that many wants to watch but do not have astro at home.. Issshh.. That is something that make me angry.. Hahaha.. Oh well... At least they still show the match for us to watch lah.. Still better not nothing..

That's it for now.. Will be watching the Finals this Sunday.. Who do you guys think will win.. I bet most will say is China.. Hahahaha

Thomas Cup 2008- China Vs Korea

So the final of the Thomas Cup 2008 had just ended.. And China had won Korea by 3-1. So China won it again.. Korea couldn't beat China for their first title. However, China players are still mentally and had a more fighting spirit compare to the other countries. I guess they still deserve the title. Congrats to China for winning another Thomas Cup. Good job done for the Korean players too. Hopefully in 2010, Malaysia will be able to go till to the finals and win the title.. :)Let's all wait and see.. I also personally think that although Malaysia didn't get in to the finals this year and lost 3-2 to China, I guess Malaysia gave a good fight against China, even though they lose, at least they fought till the last tie. :)

The results are as follow:
Dan Lin won Sung Hwan Park: 10-21 21-18 21

Then Korea won the first double
Yun Cai/Haifeng Fu lost to Jae Sung Jung/Yong Dae Lee: 23-25 16-21

After that the next 2 ties, China won

Chunlai Bao won Hyun Ii Lee: 28-26 21-11

Zhongbo Xie/Zhendong Guo won Jae Jin Lee/Ji Man Hwang: 21-12 19-21 21-12

That's it for now.. I got to go to study.. Haih..

And I want to eat Durian!!! Hahaha.. Hopefully tomorrow they have.. I couldn't eat my wan tan mee already this trip.. Sob sob

Thomas Cup 2008- Indonesia and Korea

Indonesia lost to Korea by 3-0. Do you guys think Korea did a right strategy by losing 2 of their games in the group in order to choose their opponent.. Hmpphh.. Anyways, Korea won Indonesia today.. Wanna what happened if Malaysia did the same strategy and play with Indonesia instead of China. But am glad that Malaysia didn't play that strategy and show their fighting spirit to play with China. Although they had a chance to defeat China, but they just couldn't do it. Haih.. Even though Korea show unsportsmanlike to lose all their group matches but I can't blame them, is the failure of the competition format. They actually play well today and do deserve to win the matches. Now the finals will be between China and Korea.

The results are:

Sung Hwan Park won Sony Dwi Kuncoro: 21-12 12-21 21-18

Jae Sung Jung/Yong Dae Lee won Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan: 21-19 18-21 21-10

And

Hyun Ii Lee won Taufik Hidayat: 21-13 21-14
